What it is meant to be
The infrastructural development project at Omu Boys Primary School in Ibusa, located in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, was undertaken to enhance the physical learning environment and address key infrastructure deficits affecting primary education delivery. Many public primary schools operate in aging or dilapidated classroom structures with insufficient furniture and inadequate sanitation facilities, which limit effective teaching and learning. The project therefore focused on rehabilitating and/or constructing classroom blocks, supplying desks and chairs for pupils and teachers, and upgrading essential amenities such as toilets and water points to provide safe, functional, and child-friendly learning spaces. By strengthening the school’s infrastructure base, the intervention is expected to increase enrolment, improve attendance and retention, and enhance teacher effectiveness and learner engagement. The project supports equitable access to quality basic education and contributes to community development priorities in Oshimili North LGA.
