What it is meant to be
The reconstruction of the Orerokpe–Eku Road (Section II), from Chainage 13+000 to Eku at Chainage 25+530 in Okpe Local Government Area and Ethiope East Local Government Area, by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. The project involves 12,530m length, 13.5m pavement width (binder), 8m pavement width (wearing), 2.75m x 2 (binder) shoulder, 9,000m side drain. The scope of the work for the 12.530km length of road includes removal of unsuitable materials, scarification of failed existing bituminous surfacing, scarification and pulverization of existing bituminous surfacing on the stable sections as fillings, sharp sand filling, soil stabilization, concrete works comprising of crushed stone base and asphaltic binder on 13.5m carriageway width inclusive of the shoulders and asphaltic wearing course on the 8m carriagewat width. The project will reduce travel time and transportation costs, enhance access to markets, educational and healthcare facilities, stimulate trade and investment, strengthen socio-economic integration between communities, and contribute to sustainable infrastructure development and economic growth across Okpe and Ethiope East Local Government Areas. -->
